KATHMANDU, JANUARY 1
The investigation commission formed to probe issues related to the September 8 and 9 Gen-Z Movement today lifted its earlier decision to impose a travel ban on then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
Commission Section Officer Resham Budha Chhetri said the travel restriction- which had barred Lekhak from travelling abroad and from leaving the Kathmandu Valley without the commission's approval - was lifted following a meeting of the commission held today.
After lifting the restriction, the commission wrote to the Ministry of Home Affairs and informed the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal Police Headquarters, and Lekhak himself.
Regarding the Gen-Z Movement, Lekhak had recorded his statement with the commission a few days earlier.
