KATHMANDU: A boy, who sustained critical injuries after being hit by a truck, died on course of treatment, at Chadinichok of Kirtipur Municipality-2, on Friday.

Police identified the deceased as a 16-year-old-boy currently working as a truck helper.

The incident occurred while the truck (Na 6 Kha 5203) was backing after unloading cement at a local store in Kirtipur.

The boy was rushed to the Model Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, added police. 

Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicle and rounded its driver for investigation.
