KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University sought time to discuss the demands raised by the student unions regarding its decision to hike the fees of the Masters and Bachelors levels.

Issuing a press statement on Friday the TU has said that it has expressed deep concern over the students’ demands. The TU vowed to continue with the talks between it and the student unions that began from October 21. The TU has pleaded with the student unions that it needs more time to discuss the matter before reaching a conclusion.

Meanwhile a student leader said that the student unions would hold internal parleys to respond to the TU’s request.
