Kathmandu, May 15:

The Tribhuvan University Employees’ Association central committee today demanded the resignation of Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and Rector. A central committee meeting said time was appropriate for the TU officials to tender their resignations. “But they are still delaying,” it said. The meeting also requested all TU department chiefs and employees not to forward any document to the central office for further procedures from today.

The meeting also announced that the Democratic Employees’ Group got 80 per cent of the votes and Progressive Employees’ Group got only 20 per cent votes in the unit-level elections of TU Employees Association held on May 14.
