TU teachers’ sit-in at MoE

KATHMANDU: TU part-time teachers today staged a sit-in in front of the Prime Minister’s residence and Ministry of Education (MoE) to press the government to fulfill their demands.

Meanwhile, the hunger strike carried out by three part-timers at Shantivatika, Ratanapark, entered its fifth day today. Condition of Prem Kumar Bishwokarma and Lila Raj Baral of Nepal Commerce Campus and Amritandra Karna of Tri Chandra Campus is worsening, Govinda Luitel, an NPTTA member said. Karna’s condition was critical but doctors reached there to give him glucose water. Leaders Sher Bahadur Deuba and Sahana Pradhan expressed their solidarity with the protest.
