The Tribhuvan University (TU) has unveiled the academic calendar for the current academic session, 2080 BS.
The TU Examination Reform and Coordination Council released the academic calendar for both the four-year annual system and the eight-semester system of the Bachelor level, as well as the four-semester system of the Master level.
Member-Secretary of the Council and TU Examination Controller, Pushpa Raj Joshi, stated that Deans of the respective faculties and academic institutions collaborated to prepare the academic calendar.
According to the annual system, the first-year exam will be conducted in the second week of Bhadra, 2081, with admission for the second year scheduled for the second week of Asoj, 2081, and the exam in the second week of Asar, 2082.
Similarly, admission for the third year is set for the second week of Asar, 2082, the exam in the second week of Jeth, 2083, admission for the fourth year in the second week of Asar, 2083, and the exam in the second week of Baishakh, 2084.
In the semester system, the examination for the first semester of the Bachelor Level will be conducted in Baishakh, 2081, the second semester in Asoj, 2081, the third semester in Chait, 2081, and the fourth semester in Bhadra/Asoj of 2082.
The examination for the fifth semester is scheduled for Chait, 2082, the sixth semester in Asoj, 2083, the seventh semester in Chait, 2083, and the eighth semester in Asoj, 2084.
Examination Controller Joshi mentioned that the examination for the first semester of the Master Level will take place in Asar, 2081, the second semester in Magh, 2081, the third semester in Asar, 2082, and the fourth semester in Push, 2082.
He added that preparations have been made to publish results within 100 days of the examinations.
