KATHMANDU: A Turkish woman has been arrested from Nepal's only international airport in possession of 302 gram hashish on Monday.

The 24-year-old woman was heading to board a Qatar Airways flight, QR 647, to Doha on her way to Istanbul, Nepal Police said today.

She was  arrested by the security personnel after the discovery of contraband in her possession from the Tribhuvan International Airport's hand baggage checking area at around 3:30 pm.

The suspect, identified as Gusoy Selen bearing Turkish Passport No. U13963808, has been sent to the Narcotics Control Bureau for further investigation and action.
