Tuttle kin in police custody
Kathmandu, October 26:
Ket Sarin Singnark, former director of the Nepal Recreation Centre Pvt Ltd, is cooling her heels in the Hanumandhoka Police custody for 10 days, police said. Singnak is learnt to be the sister-in-law of RD Tuttle, who set up casinos in Nepal.
According to police, the Department of Immigration (DoI) arrested her a few days ago on the charge of forgery. She has been charged with using
fake stamp of the department of industry and writing a fake letter to the Department of Immigration, asking it to issue a business visa to her. The alleged fake letter was issued on September 21.
It couldn’t be ascertained when and from where the DoI arrested her. “The DoI handed her over to us on October 17,” SP Sarbendra Khanal at the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, said. The NRC sources said that she was director of the NRC till last January.
