KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in assaulting two persons in Bouddha of Kathmandu.

Mausam KC (22) from Ghorahi-11 of Dang and Amrit Shrestha (20) from Jalbire-1 of Sindhupalchok were arrested for beating up 30-year-old Nabin Subedi and 32-year-old Dinesh KC in Tusal, Bouddha today.

According to a report filed by Dinesh, the duo at first had attacked Nabin, who was shopping at his grocery store, and while he tried to intervene, they attacked him as well.

Dinesh had reported that he also lost a one-tola gold chain in the incident.

Meanwhile, police impounded two bikes (Ba 77 Pa 922 and Ba 69 Pa 8824) used by the suspects.

Further investigation is underway.
