KATHMANDU: Police said they have detained two persons in possession of around Two kilograms of gold like metal from the Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday.

The arrestees have been identified as Lekh Bahadur Rajali (PP No. 09287474), of Rakachuli in Nawalparasi district and Parbati Gurung (PP No. 09668476), of Salyan in Kaski district.

The duo were arrested after police found the gold like metal during the security check carried out at immigration premises in the airport, said police.

According to police, both the arrested arrived in Nepal boarding the same Malaysian Air flight 0170 from Kuala Lumpur  of Malaysia, informed police.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
