Kathmandu, November 14:

A two-day new national conference on “Drug and its abuse’’ started in Lalitpur, today.

Inaugurating the conference, Home Minister Dan Bahadur Shahi appreciated the cooperation extended by various NGOs and INGOs towards the efforts of the government to eliminate drug abuse. At the seminar, organised by Recovering-Nepal under the coordination of the Home Ministry, Shahi said the development of information technology has increased both good and bad practices, such as drug abuse. Secretary to the Ministry, Bal Krishna Prasain, urged for awareness about the problem.
