KATHMANDU: Two youth have been injured after the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a bus at Nikosera in Madhyapur Municipality of Bhaktapur on Wednesday.

The motorcyclist Sushil Mahat (24) from Chyama VDC-2 in Dolakha district, currently residing in Gothatar of the Capital, is said to be in the critical condition. The pillion rider Keshav Sunuwar of same place was also injured in the accident.

The four-wheeler (Na 3 Kha 2023) had hit the two-wheeler (Ba 44 Pa 2820), police said.

According to SP Sekhar Khannal of the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, both the injured are currently undergoing treatment at the Madhyapur Hospital.

Police said the bus driver Purna Bahadur Ghola (30) of Parwanipur VDC-2 in Sarlahi district was detained for further investigation.
