KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday arrested two persons while they were attempting to steal a motorcycle in Sitapaila of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15.

Police identified the arrestees as Ram Bahadur Magarati (19) of Masel Rural Municipality-3 and Ishwor Shrimal (20) of Gorkha Municipality-7, both in Gorkha district, currently residing in Matatirtha of Kathmandu.

A patrol team from Swayambhunath-based Metropolitan Police Circle arrested the duo red-handed while they were decamping with the motorcycle (Ba 36 Pa 8532) belonging to one Dipak Bhandari.

According to police the two-wheeler was parked in front of the rented room of Bhandari at the time.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway.
