Two pairs of rhinoceros gifted to China

The Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation today decided to gift two pairs of adult one-horned rhinoceros to the Chinese government.
Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai said two male and two female rhinos will be gifted to China to conduct studies on rhino conservation in China.
The one-horned rhino is extinct in China. Listed in Appendix 1 of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, one-horned rhino is found only in Nepal and India.
Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation informed that Nepal has gifted one-horned rhinoceros to many countries.
