Two robbed, house looted

Kathmandu, April 2:

Two persons last night robbed Shankar Dangol and Kumar Lama at Gangabu as the latter were returning home to Ganeshsthan, Gangabu VDC-1.

Police said the armed robbers, posing as Maoists, waylaid Dangol and Lama. The robbers relieved Dangol of Rs 4,825 and Lama of Rs 1,300. The same night, a group of armed dacoits made off with cash and jewellery worth Rs 50,000 from the house of Bhola Dhungana at Goldhunga, Gangabu VDC-1.

Dhungana told the police, “They introduced themselves as security personnel and said that they wanted to search the house. When we opened the gate, they held us all to ransom.” The dacoits robbed Dhungana of five tolas of gold and Rs 1,000 in cash.
