KATHMANDU: Police said two persons have died after falling in assorted locations in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

Police said, 52-year-old Geeta Thapa of Madhumalla-8 in Morang district, currently living in a rented room in Kapan, Budanilakantha Municipality-12, had sustained serious injuries after falling on the third floor of a building she was staying.

Thapa breathed her last while she was being rushed to the Chabahil-based Medicare Hospital for treatment.

Similarly, 56-year-old Pahal Sarki of Malu-9 in Dolakha district  was also seriously injured after falling at the Gurasthunga Lalli, Baneshwor Height, KMC-10, on Sunday.

Sarki had died on the way to Bir Hospital.

Police said they are looking into both the cases.
