KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 275,000 were stolen from a house in Gokarneshwor Municipality-2 of Kathmandu district on Tuesday night.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke the window grill of the house belonging to Suman Pandit at Sundarijal Raitar and decamped with various gold jewellery.

Similarly, an unidentified gang broke the padlock on the door of a travel company in Chhetrapati of KMC-17 and made off with Rs 200,000 cash.

Tamakhani Travels and Tours is operated by Bhupal Magar of Solukhumbu in the first floor of a house belonging to Mahendra Shrestha in Dhapasi.

Meanwhile, police are looking into both cases and searching for the absconding perpetrators.
