KATHMANDU: Police said that two incidents of property crime were reported in the Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday.

Property worth around Rs 820,000 was stolen from a house at Kupandole in Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-10.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves stole Rs 100,000 in cash, USD 1,000 and various gold and diamond ornaments from the house of Dr Roshan Amatya.

Similarly, cash and gold ornaments worth around Rs 180,000 were stolen from the rented room of Tsering Lama at Birendranagar Municipality-7 in Surkhet.

Police said that Rs 80,000 in cash and two tola gold ornaments were stolen from the room of Lama.

Police said that they are looking into both cases.
