Two thieves arrested

Kathmandu, November 1:

The police today arrested two persons on the charge of stealing Rs 322,693 from Valley Fuel Centre (VFC) at KMC-33, Gyaneshwor.

Ram Bahadur Thapa Magar (21), a staffer at the VFC, and his friend Akash Pulami (20) were arrested. The VFC had lodged a complaint with the police, accusing the two of stealing money last night.

In another incident, thieves broke into the house of Hari Prasad Gyawali in KMC-35, Sahayogi Marga. They looted cash and valuables amounting to Rs 51,000 where there was no one in the house, the police said.

Meanwhile, fire gutted properties worth four lakh rupees in Ganapati Auto Workshop in Teenthana-6, Kathmandu, last night.

“Wiring machines and various other materials of the workshop owned by Mustak Ansari were destroyed in the fire,” the police said.
