KATHMANDU: The UCPN-Maoist has decided to field Onsari Gharti for the post of Speaker.

Likewise, the party has decided to send General Secretary Krishna Bahadur Mahara to the government as a Deputy Prime Minister.

A Standing Committee meeting of the party held on Thursday made the decision to this effect.

The meeting has also authorised party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to finalise names of leaders representing the party in the government.

The party has so far sent party treasurer Haribol Gajurel as the Agricultural Development Minister in the new government.
