KATHMANDU: The central committee meeting of the main opposition party CPN-UML has been scheduled from September 22 in the Capital.

According to Krishna Gopal Shrestha, office secretary of the party, the three-day meeting would review the third phase of local polls and hold discussions on the preparations for upcoming elections of House of Representatives and federal parliaments as well.

Shrestha further shared that the meeting would also prepare the criteria for the party contenders to the upcoming federal and provincial elections.

The CC meeting had been postponed for past five months.
