KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has formed a seven-member committee for overseeing the election of the new leadership of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU).

ANNFSU is the student wing of the party and its 22nd general convention is underway in the Capital.

The committee was formed under the chairmanship of party Secretary Gokarna Bista and comprises Rabindra Adhikari, Khim Lal Bhattarai, Rajendra Rai, Thakur Gaire, Shree Prasad Saha and Kishor Bikram Malla as its members, according to RC Lamichhane, the ANNFSU spokesman.

ANNFSU is holding an election for the union's leadership on Sunday.

Nabina Lama, general secretary of the union, is contending for the post of chairperson from Oli panel while Deepak Gautam, vice president of the union, is contending for the same post from Nepal panel.
