KATHMANDU: A Cabinet meeting held today has decided to appoint CPN-UML leader Bishnu Rimal as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's Chief Political Advisor.

UML politburo member Rimal was also PM Oli's political advisor during Oli's Prime Ministership in 2015.

The meeting has also decided to form a Cabinet with 18 ministries including the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

The Cabinet expansion that has been expected to be decided upon since Wednesday is likely to finally assume form today.
