KATHMANDU, JANUARY 2

The CPN-UML has approved the political report to be presented at the upcoming central committee meeting.

UML Deputy Secretary General Pradip Gyawali stated that the secretariat meeting, held on Thursday at the party's central office in Lalitpur, discussed key aspects of the political report prepared by Prime Minister and Party Chair KP Sharma Oli. The central committee meeting is scheduled for January 5-6.

The secretariat also reviewed the performance of the current government, led by Party Chair and Prime Minister Oli. Additionally, the report analyzed both national and international political developments.

Following the meeting, Gyawali emphasized that the government should prioritize services, development, and economic progress.

He also highlighted the need for cooperation between the UML and the Congress in nine key areas, including constitutional amendments, implementation of the constitution, passage of pending bills in parliament, replacement of laws conflicting with the constitution, and the introduction of new legislation.

Gyawali further claimed that the government has successfully conveyed a message of political stability, rooted in the strong trust between the two coalition parties.
