UN Resident Coordinator to Nepal meets President Bhandari
KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed UN Resident Coordinator Valerie Julliand paid a courtesy call to President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, on Wednesday.
During the meeting, President Bhandari and the UN diplomat discussed bilateral relationship between Nepal and the United Nations, according to a statement issued by the Office of the President.
Julliand had assumed her office in Kathmandu in earlier July. She had presented her letter of credentials to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kamal Thapa, on July 5.
