US mission man’s house burgled
Kathmandu, February 25:
Thieves this morning made off with cash worth Rs 30,000 and valuables from the rented house of Tony Watt, a staff at the American Embassy.
According to police, the thieves sneaked in Watt’s residence at Baluwatar and stole cash and valuables at around 11 am today, when Watt was alone in the house.
“I can’t say anything about the valuables stolen until my wife comes back,” Kiran Thapa, inspector at the Valley Crime Investigation Branch, Hanumandhoka quoted Watt as saying. US Embassy spokesperson has confirmed the theft.
