KATHMANDU, MAY 31
United States Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy Sarah B Rogers has arrived in Nepal on an official visit.
Following her arrival, Rogers delivered a keynote address at the "The Ascent Summit 2026" in Kathmandu on Sunday.
During her visit, she will also meet senior government officials, members of the American Chamber of Commerce and alumni of various US Department of State programmes.
The embassy said Rogers will speak on issues related to freedom of expression and digital freedom as foundations for open societies and economic prosperity.
She is also scheduled to visit the historic Patan Durbar Square and seven heritage sites supported by the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation.
The visit is expected to further strengthen US support for the preservation of Nepal's cultural heritage and promote the protection of sites central to Nepal's religious traditions, public life and tourism economy.
