KATHMANDU, AUGUST 24

The Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are meeting later today to discuss the continuation of the prohibitory order clamped in three districts of the valley, today.

As the daily reported Covid-19 cases are still not under control, the prohibitory period is likely to see an extension.

The ongoing regulatory period is scheduled to expire at midnight tonight.

During the last extension, the three CDOs had decided to clamp new regulatory measures on vehicular movement by allowing the plying of the vehicles on the valley roads only till 8:00 pm every day.

On Monday, 441 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 167 and 100 cases respectively.
