KATHMANDU: A motorcyclist died while a van hit the two-wheeler he was riding on, in Jhaukhel of Lalitpur on Friday.

Lal Krishna Shrestha (52), from Gokarna of Kathmandu, was seniously injured while the van (Ba 7 Cha 9326) hit his bike (Ba 34 Pa 8491) today.

Shrestha was rushed to the Patan Hospital, but he died on the way, police said.

Meanwhile, police detained the van driver and began an investigation.
