KATHMANDU: Veteran actress of the Nepali film industry, Subhadra Adhikari, has passed away. She was 72.

It has been learnt that Adhikari died at her residence in Dallu, Kathmandu today morning. She had reportedly been suffering from respiratory problems.

Adhikari has acted in many films, telefilms and plays including Chino, Bhauju, Kanyadan and Basanti. Her contribution to Nepali cinema and art has been immense.

Final rites of the senior artist will take place today at Pashupati Aryaghat. Adhikari is survived by a daughter and a son.
