Vets on warpath
Kathmandu, February 4:
Veterinary surgeons today submitted a memorandum to the executive director of Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC), Dr Nanda Prasad Shrestha, demanding correction in the notice inviting applications for the post of veterinary doctors.
“NARC has invited applications for the post of veterinary surgeons. However, applicants should have bachelors and masters degree in ‘agriculture’ instead of ‘animal health’ as asked for in the advertisement,” a release issued by the surgeons said.
The surgeons’ team that submitted the memorandum was led by Dr Buddhi Sapkota. A surgeon, Dr Shital Kajee Shrestha, said they will not allow the interview to take place if the NARC refuse to correct the “mistake.”
