Vexed issues of new statute sent back to CPDCC
KATHMANDU: The Constituent Assembly on Tuesday unanimously approved a proposal to sending the disputed issues of new constitution to the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC).
The CA meeting approved the proposal to hand over the previous proposal presented by the CPDCC at the CA once again to it after the CPDCC could not forge consensus in this regard.
A 16-point agreement was signed among political parties on Monday regarding the disputed issues of the new constitution.
Similarly, the meeting also nominated Deepak Bohara of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party as the member of the CPDCC as the post representing from the RPP remained vacant after the demise of Surya Bahadur Thapa.
The next CA meeting has been scheduled at 3:00 pm on June 11.
