Visually impaired arrested, freed
Kathmandu, March 5:
A group of visually impaired people were arrested from Putali Sadak, Kathmandu, today while they were taking out a peaceful rally demanding the government to meet their four-point demands.
“According to the information, the Self-help Group of Blind People organised the rally to draw the attention of government to meet their demands, which include: reservation, training, unemployment allowance and job security,” said Birendra Raj Pokharel, president of the National Federation of the Disabled-Nepal. Meanwhile, all those arrested were released in the evening.
