Vote counting begins at ANNFSU convention
KATHMANDU: Vote counting of the election held for a new leadership of the CPN-UML-affiliated All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) began here on Friday evening.
The counting began after a code of conduct for the vote count was agreed at the UML party office Dhumbarahi. The election that began on Wednesday had concluded on Thursday.
A total of 1,519 votes were cast among the 1,597 voters across the country to elect a 142-member committee including 17 office-bearers.
The results are expected to be out by Saturday evening, according to the Union spokesperson RC Lamichhane.
Nabina Lama and Deepak Gautam are contesting for the post of Chairperson of one of the biggest student unions of the nation.
