Westerly winds trigger change in weather
KATHMANDU: The country witnessed a change in climate pattern on Saturday due to impact of westerly winds.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, such change has triggered light rainfall in some parts of the western Nepal and snowfall in some high-altitude areas.
Different parts of the country including Kathmandu Valley came under the impact of westerly winds since last night, witnessing a change in climate pattern and this would continue throughout the day today and there will be improvement in the weather from tomorrow, the Division said.
According to the Division, some places of mid and western belts may receive scanty rainfall today.
The Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 11.5 degree Celsius today which is a slight increment as compared to other normal days due to clouds in the sky since last night.
