Raju Aryal, president of the Sangam Sagarmatha Marga Users’ Committee said: “The road with waste flowing all over was a matter of disgrace for the whole community comprising more than 90 households. It also gave a bad impression to hundreds of passers-by everyday, spurring us to reconstruct the road. We collected about Rs 5,000 from each house located on the roadside and carried out the construction work with the help of the KMC. The newly constructed road has made the locality look cleaner and has solved problems.”
