Wife of killed journo gets help

Kathmandu, January 25:

The Media Services International (MSI) today handed over the newly-constructed cafeteria at the Trinity Boarding School at Tikapur, Kailali, to Rita Sharma, the wife of journalist Nawaraj Sharma who was abducted and murdered by the Maoists four-and-a-half years ago.

Project chief Pradip Ghimire handed over the cafeteria to Sharma today amid a function at the school, a MSI release issued here today, said. Sharma was also given Rs 85,000 in cash.

Nawaraj Sharma, the editor and publisher of Kadam vernacular weekly published from Kalikot district was abducted by the Maoists on Baishak 9, 2058 BS and murdered a month later. Sharma is survived by three daughters and a son.
