KATHMANDU: A woman died on Friday morning after being hit by a taxi in Balkumari of Lalitpur district on Thursday.

The woman, who appeared to be in her late 20s, was severely injured when the cab (Ba 1 Ja 388) hit her at around 11 pm near the Balkumari Bridge.

The unidentified woman breathed her last during treatment at the Patan Hospital at around 4:30 pm today, according to police.

Police are searching for the driver involved in the hit-and-run case.

Meanwhile, two persons were injured after being hit by a motorcycle (Ba 76 Pa 8290) in Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-14 of the district on Thursday.

The injured has been identified as Gyanu Risal (27) of Baitheni, Makawanpur and her two-year-old daughter Yunisha.

Both the injured are being treated at the Alka Hospital, Jawalakhel.

Police have arrested the motorcycle rider for further investigation.
