KATHMANDU: A person died while two others were injured after a bus hit a motorbike along the Koteshwor-Balkumari road of Ring Road in Kathmandu district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sabita Shrestha (32) of Imadol-9, Lalitpur.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 6299) heading towards Koteshwor from Balkumari had hit the two-wheeler (Ba 73 Pa 9029), critically injuring the pillion rider.

Shrestha had breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal.

Likewise, Krishna Shrestha (40) and Rishab Shrestha (4), who were injured in the same accident are being treated at the same hospital.

The incident had taken place at around 2:15 pm.

Meanwhile, the Koteshwor-based Metropolitan Police Division has impounded the vehicle and has arrested its driver.
