Women held with rhino horn

Kathmandu, January 16:

Two businesswomen from Kathmandu were arrested with a rhino horn at Sauraha Chowk,Chitwan, today.

According to a press release issued by the Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN), Chitwan District Forest Office arrested them on a tip-off provided by the WCN this morning that a rhino horn was being sold to traders from Kathmandu. “Both the women are being interrogated by the District Forest Office,” the release said without giving their names. In illegal international market, a piece of rhino horn is worth around Rs 3.5 million.
