KATHMANDU: Unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Rastrabadi Chairperson Prakash Chandra Lohani today said women's economic empowerment remained vital for the creation of a prosperous nation.

In a speech welcoming the new working committee of the Rastriya Democratic Women's Department aligned to the party, Lohani noted that women's participation in the policy making level was gradually increasing while expressing concern that their access to financial sector still remained elusive.

Department's assembly held on Friday formed a 51-member ad hoc working committee under the leadership of Prof Sushma Acharya.
