Won't compare ties between nations, says PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said the government would not compare Nepal's relationship with a particular nation against the ties with another.

"Our policy is clear that we will strengthen and expand existing relationships with all friendly nations on the basis of equality and mutual interests, and we will not compare relationships with neighbours," Oli said upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport from China today.

Oli was returning home from the northern neighbour after concluding his weeklong official visit.

"We should develop Nepal ourselves," he said, "Now, the main responsibility is to effectively implement agreements with our friendly nations for the reconstruction and overall development of the nation."

On the occasion, the Prime Minister had claimed that his China visit was very successful.
