Kathmandu, January 23:

Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Hisila Yami on Friday said change in women’s status was impossible without economic revolution. She further said economic revolution should be brought by means of cooperatives. Addressing a programme organised to mark first national women cooperatives day, she said, “The establishment of cooperatives in villages would help enhance women’s status. The government is always ready to extend help to this regard.”

She also said women participation should be prioritised while operating the cooperatives.
