YCL disrupts traffic

KATHMANDU: Young Communist League on Tuesday called a chakka jam for an hour to protest the killing of its cadre Laxman Yadav ‘Himal’. The chakka jam enforced by the YCL from 10 am to 11 am had little impact in Kathmandu. However, traffic was disrupted in Lalitpur after the YCL cadres blocked the traffic across the Bagmati River bridge and its adjoining areas. YCL central member Yadav was shot dead by a gang in Rautahat district on Saturday. He was also a member of the Bhojpura State Council of the Maoists. YCL had also organised a torch rally on Monday in Kathmandu demanding action against the culprits.
