Youth at large after killing 19-yr-old girl
Kathmandu, June 9:
A 22-year old boy, Sitaram Tamang, stabbed to death Srijana Tamang at Naya Bazaar this morning, police said. Sitaram and Srijana (19), both hailing from the district of Dhading, had been living in Balaju and Nepaltar respectively.
Sitaram, also known as Hundred Tamang in his village and in Malaysia, had an affair with the girl, also known as Maya Pakhrin, when she was in Dhading.
Police said they have recovered seven letters written by Srijana to Sitaram when he was in Malaysia.
Srijana had been working as a basic computer teacher at the Naya Bazaar-based Pentium Users and Developers.
“Srijana was checking mails in the cyber club, which is on the upper floor of my office, when the boy came in; he was concealing a sword in a keyboard box,” Shushil Man Shrestha, the owner of the Pentium Users and Developers, told the police today.
“The boy had called Srijana yesterday and today. I don’t know what they talked about as they talked in Tamang language.” The boy had been in the cafe in the morning also.
Sitaram Tamang is absconding, police said, adding that they have not yet been able to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
