KATHMANDU: Police arrested a youth for his alleged involvement in black marketing of cooking gas cylinders from Maharajgunj on Thursday.

Police said that Bikash Gupta (25) of Motihari, India, was arrested for selling a cooking gas cylinder at Rs 9,000 to locals.

Acting on the tip-off, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Cirlce, Maharajgunj raided his vegetable shop and found 19 cooking gas cylinders.

The cylinders were of different brands without seal.

Police said they are investigating into the case.
