KATHMANDU: A youth was arrested for selling cooking gas at a rate higher than the marked price.

Ranjita Mahat (23), a permanent resident of Simthali-1 of Kavre district, currently residing in Shanti Nagar, KMC-34 was arrested by police on Friday.

The woman is accused of selling a cylinder of cooking gas for Rs 8,000 from her Om Durga Suppliers.

Police also confiscated nine gas cylinders from her.

Further investigation is underway.
