KATHMANDU: A 21-year-old youth has been arrested in possession of a cache of illegal drugs from Baniyatar, Tokha Municipality-12 of Kathmandu on Thursday.

Uttam Karki, a permanent resident of Nuwakot district, currently residing in Balaju, was arrested from nearly 200 ampoules of four pharmaceutical drugs and 14 gram brown heroin, police said.

Police, meanwhile, arrested three other persons who were with the suspect.

A joint team deployed from the Rani Pokhari-based Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Office and Gongabu-based Metropolitan Police Sector had nabbed them.

Further investigation is underway.
