Be a part of Nepali poetry contest
KATHMANDU: If you are good at writing poetry and want to recite it in front of thousands of audience, ‘Bhavisya Vani’ could be an opportunity for you.
DREAMS — a London-based e-magazine that runs from both Nepal and London as www.mydreamsmag.com — is organising a Nepali poetry contest ‘Bhavisya Vani’ on August 27.
With an aim to improve the existing scenario for literary enthusiasts in Nepali language, the event will be held in collaboration with Nepal Literature Festival, as per a press release issued on July 15.
The competition with a theme ‘A better tomorrow’ will be a worldwide competition where organisers target to receive some 2,000 submissions. Among the submissions, selected 20 best poems will be recited during the event amidst a ceremony that will be held in Kathmandu.
A panel of judges will adjudge the competition where the top three winners will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
The poems can be dropped in at Orchid International College, Sinamangal; Coffee Talk, Marco Polo Building, Hattisar; Kantipur City College, Putalisadak and Word Warriors, Quixote’s Cove, Ekantakuna, Lalitpur. The deadline for submission of the poems is August 18.
