Big turnout for Nepal Photo Exhibition in Bhairahawa

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Photo Exhibition 2073 that travelled to Bhairahawa concluded on February 20. The exhibition was held on the premises of National Tourism Promotion, Agricultural and Industrial Trade Fair.

As per a press release issued by PJ Club, there were 120 top photographs on display, selected from PJ Club’s Nepal Photo Contest 2073, which were chosen from 8,000 photographs sent by photo journalists and freelancers.

“The photographs on display were the top photographs of the competition divided into seven categories — Ghumphir Culture and Tourism, Nature and Wildlife, Sports, Daily Life, Nepal Smiles and News,” President of the Club Bikash Karki was quoted in the press release as saying.

It included pictures of the Gorkha Earthquake 2015 among others. Along with contest’s photographs, photos related to Lord Buddha’s life were also exhibited.

The statement quotes local facilitator of the exhibition Manoranjan Sharma as having said that the exhibition was successful with more than 20,000 viewers.

These selected photographs were earlier exhibited in Kathmandu, Sauraha and will travel to Biratnagar, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Pokhara. — HNS
